Fluffy Kangaroos

This is probably the only thing I will truly miss from this place - the cute little Kangaroos!

The view over parliament is probably what I will miss the least... bureaucracy heaven. Euh!

Missing photos..

I was taking a few pictures using my digital camera and I came accross a flash card that had some old pictures in it from a dinner party we had at our place. Canberra might be crappy, but it was never crappy when we had people over fro dinner.

Richardson back in the day when he passed out at 6h30PM. In here we are wrapping him in newspaper (for propper insulation of course!)

Antti and Kia re-enacting fight club.

When I get drunk I like to play around with my cameras and do stupid shit with it. For the most times they end up being blurry nonsense, but some of them are okay.

The way home!

I finally booked my one way ticket home... well.. almost home. I am going to stop by Germany to give some talks and "beg" people for work, and also to stay a bit with Kiri, who by then will probably despair with the Germans :-P. I am going to Munich, then Bonn by train, then Munich again, and if I can can get a cheap timely ticket, I will fly to Portugal next and stay there until I find a job...
So my Departure from Canberra is eminent!!
YAY!!!

oh yeah, and don't forget the cool bars in melbourne!

A new one for every night, and I don't think we were going to run out either!

More photos available

I'm just too lazy to post them again....

Here they are:

Melbourne does indeed slightly rock

Absolutely loved visiting Melbourne and for the first time getting a chance to wander around and appreciate it. And thanks to Lucy's wonderful parents for putting us up and to Rosie for keeping us company!

Melbourne rocks!

In order to survive the boredom in Canberra you sometimes need to go away for a few days and recharge. The closest and probably best place to do this is Melbourne, especially staying with a lovely Australian family - the Palmers, and going to an international brain research meeting, to get the ticket payed for as well.

Me (Kia), Lucy, Kaori and Kiri enjoying big city life for 6 days.

The fact that it rained every day didn't bother us at all. We still kept our sunnies on! (Richardson with the girls).

tenenenenenenene Batman!!!!

Just out of curiosity, who is the mysterious blog member called "Batman"?

Update (12th July): The mysterious Batman is our long lost friend, KAMPA!!!

Welcome to the fold!
Canberra ages you... living here is like living a chronic disease...

Before canberra:
After Canberra:

Capital Punishment spectacular!!!!

In order to raise funds for the digital transfer and developing of the upcoming blockbuster smash - Capital Punishment: The remake (Starring, Raul, Maarten, Richardson and many many others) - Myself, Richardson and Maarten are thinking of having a party with home brew and maybe sangria together with a BBQ at an yet to decide location. We would charge a gold coin donation (10$??) at the entrance, and the receipts would go towards funding the movie. A date and venue will follow soon!

Blog Colours

If anyone has any suggestions for colour combinations, or if they find the current ones extremely offensive, then let us know and we can change them.
Otherwise, enjoy the blog!

ps- This post will be deleted in a few days if they are no objections.

What can you do with this blog.

Hey!!!!

This blog is designed for us to be in touch with each other and share our experiences, as all of us are going to different spots of the world over the next few months. I think I speak for everybody that we made really good friends in Canberra, albeit joined together through our distaste (I know some of you actually like it) of this unholy place. It would be a shame to waste these friendships just by being apart.

Please feel free to edit, post and add whatever you want. If you fuck up the blog, you need not to worry since I will do backups of the html template periodically.

Raul

P.S.- Because of complaints that I was plagiarizing my personal blog, I removed my montage from this post. :P

The beginning

This is where it all started, the ideas of a blog about us, the survivors of Canboring... ops, I meant Canberra.
